Dr. Eric Lomas, DDS
Education
Dr. Lomas completed his undergraduate degree in 2010 at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, studying philosophy and biology, and earned his D.D.S. from Creighton University School of Dentistry in 2014. While in dental school, Dr. Lomas had the opportunity to participate in Creighton’s outreach programs which included providing care to a rural community in the Dominican Republic, the Rosebud Native American Reservation in South Dakota, as well as the One World clinic in Omaha. Overall, service to his community has been a very important part of his formation, ingrained while attending Regis Jesuit High School here in Colorado. His faith and commitment to family and friends has further anchored that desire to serve others.
Professional
After dental school, Dr. Lomas went on to finish an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Long Beach, California in 2015. He and his wife then moved to Memphis, Tennessee, where he spent four years completing his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. While in Memphis, Dr. Lomas provided OMS services for the major hospital systems in the metropolitan area, including: The Regional One Trauma Center, Methodist University Hospital, Baptist Hospital, LeBonheur Children’s Hospital and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. It was a privilege to serve the people of Memphis, and residency provided him with extensive training in the treatment and reconstructions of facial trauma injuries, reconstructions for patients suffering from benign oral pathologies, orthognathic surgery for patients suffering from dentofacial deformities, the treatment of complex dental infections, reconstruction of alveolar clefts, and a wide variety of surgeries for complex clinic patients needing extractions, bone grafting and implants.
Personal
Dr. Lomas was raised in Littleton, Colorado, where he developed a deep appreciation for the outdoors. He is thrilled to be home in Colorado, to share our beautiful state with his wife and newborn son, and to serve his community as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. He is an avid reader, and particularly enjoys the wonder of the mountains where he can hunt, fish, hike and camp with family and friends.
